Shoulder replacement surgery (shoulder arthroplasty) is a highly successful procedure designed to relieve severe pain and stiffness caused by various forms of arthritis or severe physical injuries.
It occurs due to inflammation & Shrinking of the joint capsules. It causes pain and stiffness. It occurs mainly in individuals experiencing advanced osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or rotator cuff tear arthropathy. During this surgery, the damaged parts of the shoulder joint are replaced with custom metal and plastic implants to recreate a smooth, pain-free range of motion.
